The Scriptural Inquiry exists to call believers back to the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word. In an age of countless voices, traditions, and interpretations, we are committed to pointing Christians to Scripture as the ultimate standard by which every doctrine, practice, and claim must be measured. Our desire is not to win arguments but to pursue truth, exalting Christ above every human opinion and submitting every belief to the unchanging Word of God.

We pray that through careful biblical study, faithful exposition, and humble inquiry, believers will be strengthened in discernment, rooted more deeply in the gospel, and equipped to stand firmly in the truth. May every page lead not merely to greater knowledge, but to greater love for Christ, greater obedience to His Word, and a life lived for the glory of God alone.

The Five Solas

The Five Solas summarize foundational convictions of the Protestant Reformation. Together, they affirm that salvation is God’s work from beginning to end, that Christ alone is our Savior and Mediator, and that Scripture is the supreme authority for the Christian faith and life.

Sola Scriptura — Scripture Alone

Scripture is the inspired, sufficient, and final authority for faith and practice. Every doctrine, tradition, and teaching must be tested according to God’s Word.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV)

Sola Fide — Faith Alone

We are justified before God by faith alone in Jesus Christ, apart from our own works, because of His finished work on the cross.

“For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.” — Romans 3:28 (ESV)

Sola Gratia — Grace Alone

Salvation is entirely the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be earned or deserved but is freely given through His mercy.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (ESV)

Solus Christus — Christ Alone

Jesus Christ is the only Savior, the only Mediator between God and man, and the only foundation of our salvation.

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” — 1 Timothy 2:5 (ESV)

Soli Deo Gloria — To the Glory of God Alone

All of life, worship, and salvation exist for the glory of God alone. He alone deserves all praise, honor, and glory.
